Officially launched at Eurobike this year, we exhibit the exclusive new Storck Aernario .2 Signature

Each year Markus Storck embarks on a project to create a limited edition dreambike in as many units as his age. This year, that's 53.

Developing carbon frames that delivers extremely low weight and everyday usability has long been a tradition in Storck. The Scenario 0.9 from 2003 was the first carbon road frame to weigh less than 1kg. In 2007, the Fascenario 0.7 had a frame weight that dipped below 800g.

The goal for this project: a frame, fork, and headset, that will weigh less than 1000g!

What's special about this bike comes from deep in it's carbon-fibery DNA. Frame tubing is totally different. The head tube is redesigned, specifically around the new Storck RBSU300 one piece bar & stem combo. The down tube in particular is notably different. The tubing shape is more aerodynamic, and the layup of the carbon is tweaked for increased stiffness.

Amazingly, the front triangle is made in one piece, and thanks to the employment of entirely new manufacturing techniques this results in the finished frame having just one join. This, along with a more rigid bottom bracket, is how the Signature frame manages the audacious goal of dropping weight while simultaneously gaining stiffness.

The complete bike weighs 5.3kg, the combined headset, frame and fork weigh a shade under 1000g. The fork is less than 300g, and the frame barely tickles the scales at 670g! That's substantially lighter than even the current Aernario Platinum, which has a frame weight of 790g.

Markus has set out to create a bike with no limits, a dream machine kitted out with the best possible kit and the best possible design. The spec choice is remarkable and combines the most cutting edge components available today. Driven as ever by finding the lightest weight, the best of the best, with consideration given to Storck's personal experience and preferences.

There may only be 53 made, but new tools and new moulds are still needed. When the approach is to get the best and most meticulously produced frames with the best material available, you can't cut any corners when it comes to cost. The Aernario .2 Signature is sure to provide the rewarding and refined kind of ride that even the most discerning cyclist will love.
